Charoen Pokphand Group (CP Group) has stepped up assistance for people affected by flooding in Bangkok, mobilising volunteers to pack 2,000 relief bags while preparing food, drinking water and other essential supplies for communities still facing severe conditions.
On Monday (September 28, 2026), Suphachai Chearavanont, Senior Vice Chairman of CP Group, led senior executives and volunteers from across the group in packing 2,000 “CP Volunteer Roi Riang Khwam Dee” relief bags at Makro Sathorn for distribution to flood victims across the capital.
The group is also mobilising 100,000 bottles of drinking water and 300,000 eggs, alongside other necessities, in an effort to reach as many affected communities as possible. Rapid-response units have also been deployed to provide urgent assistance in critically affected areas.
Senior executives participating in the operation included Dr Teerapon Tanomsakyut, CP Group’s Chief Sustainability and Strategy Officer; Manat Manavutiveth, Chief Customer Experience and Retail Officer at True Corporation; Jakkrit Urairat, a senior corporate affairs executive at True Corporation; Siriporn Dechsingha, Chief Sustainability and Corporate Communications Officer at CP AXTRA; Kornit Thanasoonthornkit, a senior human resources executive at CP ALL; and Jomkitti Sirikul, Executive Vice President of Sustainability Development, Government and Public Affairs at CP Group.
Suphachai said CP Group had begun relief operations from the first day of the flooding, with each business group establishing a war room to monitor conditions closely and assess the impact and needs of residents on a daily basis.
At the same time, the group’s businesses have continued their operations and communications to ensure assistance can be mobilised quickly as conditions change.
“For the CP Volunteer ‘Roi Riang Khwam Dee’ mission, we have brought together employee volunteers from across our businesses to pack around 2,000 relief bags, and we will continue according to the actual situation and needs,” Suphachai said.
“We are coordinating with foundations, communities and volunteer networks in Bangkok, surrounding provinces and nearby areas, particularly places that assistance has not yet reached, so that supplies and support genuinely reach those who need them.”
Suphachai said the group wanted its support to go beyond providing food, drinking water and essential goods.
“What we want to deliver is not simply food, water or necessities, but tangible encouragement,” he said.
“We understand the hardship that flood victims are facing, and we will try to reach everyone who needs assistance so that we can get through this crisis together.
“Whenever a crisis occurs, we believe that helping and caring for one another is what enables society to move through difficult times.”
CP Group will continue monitoring the flood situation closely and work with government agencies, civil society organisations and local volunteer networks to ensure assistance reaches affected communities quickly and effectively.
