Mali expands app services for children up to age 10

Mali has also introduced a major app update aimed at extending support for mothers and children beyond pregnancy and the early postnatal period.

New features include sleep, breastfeeding and nappy-change records, as well as the “Little Achievers Board”, where parents can choose to share photographs marking their children’s development.

The app has also extended child-development tracking from the previous age limit of two years to 10 years.

Within eight weeks of the update’s launch, the proportion of users returning to the app within one week had risen by one-third.

Users were also spending more time on the app, while overall activity increased by 43%. More than 1,000 parents had shared photographs of their children through the Little Achievers Board.
