The delay was to allow further consideration of creditors’ opposition to the plan, the airline said in a statement. Two creditors filed complaints against the plan.
On May 19, creditors holding 91.56 per cent of THAI’s debt accepted the airline’s restructuring plan to be reviewed by the court.
THAI has registered total debt of THB245 billion, much of it racked up in the decade before the Covid-19 crisis grounded international flights and wrecked airlines’ balance sheets.
