Pre-built eyes 25% revenue growth to Bt5 bn next year

Construction firm Pre-Built Plc targets total revenue of Bt5.07 billion in 2013, up 25 per cent from its total revenue target of Bt4 billion at the end of this year.

The expected growth is due to an increase in planned construction by the both the government and private sectors from this year till next year.
About Bt3.9 billion, or about 78 per cent, will come from the construction business; Bt650 million from the firm’s real estate business, Built Land Co Ltd; and Bt528 million from PCM Construction Material Co Ltd.
The company’s CEO Chairat Thampeera said at a press conference last week that the company plans to jointly bid for new construction contracts worth between Bt5 billion and Bt6 billion in the year 2013.
The company also has a backlog of existing projects that will be complete and ready for delivery to customers in the year 2013, worth between Bt5 billion and Bt6 billion.
Meanwhile, the company’s subsidiary Built Land Co Ltd, a property developer, plans to launch two new condominium projects worth Bt2.5 billion in 2013.
This will drive its total revenue to achieve its target in 2013, he said.
He added that the company believed that its group will generate enough revenue to achieve the target due to the demand for construction of residential and manufacturing plants rising this year and next year.
Meanwhile, the company showed total revenue of Bt3.03 billion and net profit of Bt153.49 million in the first nine months of this year.
“We believe that our total revenue will achieve the target of Bt4 billion at the end of this year; we have a backlog that will be delivered to the customer in the last quarter of this year through 2013 worth Bt2.5 billion,” he said.
He added that most property firms plan to launch new residential projects this year and next. This will boost the demand for constructors to build residential projects, while, labour is also facing shortages. But the company has sufficient staff and construction systems to support demand in the market. As a result, the company believes that its business will continue to grow in 2013.
