
Under the 50-year rental contract, Industrial Estate Authority of Thailand will pay Bt17 million a year, the Treasury Department’s director-general Patchara Anuntasilpa said yesterday.
Industrial Estate Authority of Thailand governor Verapong Chaiperm said yesterday that the Industrial Estate Authority of Thailand planned the development in Songkhla’s Sadao district to cover industrial and logistics needs as well as boosting infrastructure and serving commercial and green requirements.
The industrial estate will focus on 11 industries, including food processing and rubber and rubber products, as well as plastics, packaging, cosmetics, supplement foods and electronics.
“We estimates the investment will come to more than Bt13 billion in this project and that it will provide more than 3,000 jobs,” Verapong said.
