Sathorn office tower wins Gold LEED environmental stamp

Sathorn office tower wins Gold LEED environmental stamp

After joining the LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environment Design) project of the US Green Building Council (USGBC) for two years, “Chartered Square”, the first office building on Bangkok’s Sathorn Road, was last month awarded the Gold LEED certification from USGBC for its environmental design and power management.
Said Chintat Chia-Apar, general manager of Chartered Square Holding Co Ltd: “Today, many organisations put more emphasis on environment and energy saving aspects of office buildings. It's the same trend in other countries where people are paying greater attentions to the matter. Certainly, Chartered Square’s environmental and energy certification will help us expand our customer base – both among Thai and foreign businesses.
Chartered Square was been LEED-certified by the USGBC in September this year as the first commercial building in Thailand in the EB:OM (Existing Buildings: Operations and Maintenance) category. The building is the third in South East Asia to receive the certification.
