Pollution Control Department has warned that falling water levels during a possible El Niño phase could raise the risk of severe wastewater pollution and algal blooms.

A Facebook page ‘Pak Nam Pran Palang Mai’ (ปากน้ำปราณพลังใหม่) recently posted photos of green algae covering the steps of Pak Nam Pran or Pranburi estuary in Prachuap Khiri Khan province.
