Thai manufacturers are unfazed by the influx of cheap Chinese-made elephant pants despite a newly announced ban on their imports.

Despite persisting uncertainty, the economy took a backseat in the last few weeks or so owing to worry surrounding the national elections, since it took place on Sunday largely peacefully, it did not inflict any major harm on the already bruised economy.
