After nearly a year-long court trial, the former army captain Supachai Paso was on Thursday sentenced to death over the abduction and murder of Si Sa Ket-based administration organisation official Juthaporn Oun-on.

The stains found on the front passenger seat of a car belonging to a missing female local administration official in Si Sa Ket’s Kantharalak district turned out to be fungi, not bloodstains that could be used for DNA testing, a Kantharalak police source revealed on Friday.
