A Ratchaburi businessman was arrested for illegally digging and selling soil near high-voltage poles, violating excavation regulations.

The Bangkok Metropolitan Administer may dig a new canal on the east side of Bangkok to use as a main waterway to drain floodwaters and develop tourism, deputy BMA governor Sakchai Boonma said.
