Police are hunting for a group of criminals who attempted to abduct a Chinese man in Kandal province on March 3. The victim leapt from a moving vehicle to escape, in a scene which went viral on social media.

A Chinese national was arrested in Bangkok on Tuesday morning for allegedly holding a fellow countryman for a ransom of 30 million yuan (150 million baht) and chopping off his little finger.
