The Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) expects most of the 2.5 million government officials to take advantage of the “Rath Tour Tua Thai” travel scheme and generate up to 50 billion baht in revenue.

The Cabinet on Tuesday approved a proposal to allow civil servants and state-enterprise employees to receive 15 days’ paid leave for monk ordination from October 16-30 to make merit for the late King Bhumibol Adulyadej.
