More evidence has also been collected in the investigation.
At Cherng Talay Police Station, a team of investigators, including police, prosecutors and representative from the lawyers’ council, spoke to the seven officers.
Four of them are from the Phuket City Police: Captain Preeecha Patsangnoi, Senior Sgt-Major Gosum Suchart, and Somchai Sarapart and Ukrit Piboon – both corporals.
The other three are from the Cherng Talay Police: Major Sanhawit Sanitwong, Captain Jeera Cherdchai and Lance Corporal Tossaphok Laongthong.
They have all been questioned after having been charged with intent to murder over the shooting death of Chisanupong Krueajan.
The body of a man, identified as 29-year-old Chisanupong from Phuket, was found in the driver seat of a pickup after police shot him in Cherng Talay after they were able to stop his vehicle on September 18.
Police claimed at the time that the man had attempted to pull a gun on them. Police shot first, killing him.
Meantime, Phuket City Police have collected more evidence at the intersection near Phuket Bus Terminal 2 on Thapkrasattri Road, where the pickup truck ran over two motorcycles after fleeing police.
Three people were injured when the pickup, driven by the deceased, ran through the bikes at a traffic light as he tried to escape police after he had run a checkpoint in Rassada.
