Executives and employees of Toyota units in Thailand gathered recently to join the "Toyota Family Running Day 2011", or ekiden, a Japanese term meaning a long-distance relay running race.

The event is designed to strengthen the relationship between the companies, their employees and their families.

Featured on the day at Rama IX Park were relay runs of 3 and 6 kilometres. Winning teams were nominated for the international version of Toyota Motor Corporation's ekiden, to be held in Japan.

The first ekiden to be hosted by Toyota Motor Thailand was staged in 2006. Joining this year's event were Toyota Motor Asia-Pacific Engineering and Manufacturing, Siam Toyota Industry and Toyota Leasing (Thailand). A total of 318 teams with eight members each took part in the races.

Exim CSR

The Export-Import Bank of Thailand (Exim Thailand) recently hosted an Exim CSR Day programme in cooperation with the Thaipat Institute, a non-profit organisation under the Foundation for Thailand Rural Reconstruction Movement, under royal patronage, at Exim Thailand's Head Office.

The programme's objective was to promote better understanding among Exim Thailand staff of the bank's corporate social responsibility directions, and to encourage their participation in CSR projects.
