IRPC's board of directors will likely appoint Atikom Terbsiri, senior executive vice president for corporate strategy and planning, as the company's new president after Pailin Chuchottaworn left to become PTT's president and chief executive officer.

PTT is restructuring its management team as well as those of its subsidiaries after some executives retired. The top positions have already been settled, but the new executives at PTT Global Chemical, which was recently formed from the merger of PTT Aromatics and Refining (PTTAR) and PTT Chemical (PTTCH), have not yet been finalised.
IRPC will hold a board of directors meeting on October 18 to consider filling vacant positions, including the one for corporate strategy and planning created by Atikom.
PTTAR’s president and CEO, Bowon Vongsinudom, is reported likely to be the first executive of PTT Global Chemical, while Veerasak Kositpaisal, president and CEO of PTTCH, appears set to become the merged entity's chairman. Both will have equal authority in the new company.
However, Bowon said the positions were not decided yet. PTT Global Chemical will hold its board meeting on October 19 to select the president and CEO before the company is listed on the Stock Exchange of Thailand and starts trading on October 21.
Veerasak declined to confirm this news, but said the top positions of PTT Global Chemical would be clear after the joint shareholders’ meeting of PTTAR and PTTCH on October 18.
Many top executive positions in PTT also saw changes that were implemented on October 1. Nattachart Charuchinda became the company’s chief operating officer of the downstream petrochemical business.
Wichai Pornkeratiwat, senior executive vice president of PTT’s gas business unit, has stepped up to be chief operating officer of upstream petrochemical and natural gas.
Supattanapong Punmeechaow, an executive vice president, replaced Nattachart as executive vice president for corporate strategy, and EVP Peerapong Achariyacheevin became EVP for the gas business unit, succeeding Wichai.
