Pathum Thani confident in protecting factories

Industrial estates in Pathum Thani would be safe from floods, thanks to flood gates as well as preparation steps which include dyke reinforcement, said Pathum Thani Governor Peerasak Hinmuangkao.
The province houses several major industrial estates including Nava Nakorn and Bang Kradi, as well as several large-sized shopping complexes.
Peerasak said that the province's geographical area is different from other provinces. The province has a large number of flood gates, where big pumps are ready to keep water level at appropriate level.
"We have reinforced dykes along the Chao Phraya River, and sandbags are flowing into the province," he said.
