Buddy Group Hotels and Resorts is using e-mail to offer a special rate from now until November 15 for people seeking temporary lodging during the flood crisis. Three hotels in central Bangkok are available. Buddy Boutique Inn offers rooms at Bt900 per night, while Hotel De’ Moc offers Bt1,100 per night including breakfast. Buddy Lodge starts at Bt1,500 per night, also including breakfast.
Best Western Hotels in Bangkok said some properties provided rooms at reduced rates, but guests would not receive daily amenities enjoyed by customers paying full rates.
Some property developers who have accommodations in Pattaya, Chon Buri, Hua Hin and Nakhon Ratchasima are sending direct messages to their customers offering short- to medium-stay rental rates between Bt15,000 and Bt30,000 pre month.
Earlier, 31 hotels launched a campaign for flood-affected people called “Thai Hotels Association for Thai” offering rates of Bt600, Bt900 and Bt1,200 per night. Participating hotels included Avana Bangkok, Bay Hotel, Chinatown Hotel, Ibis, The Grand FourWings Convention Hotel, and Royal Princess Larn Luang.
Meanwhile, Thai Airways International is allowing customers who were issued tickets yesterday or before for a travel period from October 1 to December 15, but have had to change their plans because of the disaster, to reschedule their flights at no charge. Pandit Chanapai, THAI executive vice president (commercial), said the revised trip must be completed by December 31.
