Best effort guaranteed to protect Bangchan estate: PM

Prime Minister Yingluck Shinawatra on Tuesday reiterated the government's best effort to prevent floods at Bangchan Industrial Estate, through strengthened dykes and water pumping system.
"We have done our best. Will this mean a 100 per cent protection (for Bangchan)? Nobody can answer that. We have been prepared for this and the Army is now in charge, assisting the industrial estate's prevention system. We're working together to render the best protection," she said.
Water has surrounded Bangchan Industrial Estate, which is in the East of Bangkok. Bangchan and Latkrabang Industrial Estate are now at risk. They are under tight protection as 7 industrial estates have been inundated.
