Mall faces 50% drop in traffic

The Circle Ratchaphreuk puts up a 1.2-metre sandbag barrier around the community mall.

The mall remains safe from floods but traffic has dropped by half and over 85 per cent of 160 shops closed, according to Kongtawat Pongsak, managing director of Suwan Ratchaphruek Park Co Ltd which develops the lifestyle centre.
He said that the business is down as shop owners' houses are flooded while goods transportation is disrupted and shop workers could not come to work.
The mall remains open, under 24-hour flood watch. All shops are updated through SMS.
