The commission agreed at the meeting yesterday that these companies, which now produce programmes for its spectra, could continue with the operations. NBTC's frequencies cover FM 98.5, AM 1035, AM 1089, FM 102, FM 99, AM 1089, FM 89, AM 765 and FM 106.5.
NBTC spokeswoman Supinya Klangnaron said that if NBTC office wants to terminate those contracts, it will have to inform them 30 days in advance.
One of the beneficiaries is A-TIME Media, a subsidiary of entertainment giant GMM Grammy Plc, which produce programmes for FM106.5.
In Early November, NBTC decided not to renew the production contracts which are to end this year and allowed them a 6-month grace period to migrate to other frequencies. GMM Grammy then appealed for a 1-year grace period.
