Cosmetics firm in JV to open beauty clinic in Vietnam

Pan Rajdhevee Group, a leading manufacturer of medicated cosmetics, will open its first beauty clinic in Vietnam this year under a joint venture with a local partner.

Pan Rajdhevee will hold 51 per cent of the joint venture, called P&K, with the rest owned by the Vietnamese partner.

International expansion is part of the company’s strategy to boost sales and secure its business for the long term. It will concentrate on moving into Asean countries at first.

Pattanil Luangphaithoon, the group’s chief finance officer, said it was in the process of conducting marketing and consumer-insight surveys in Vietnam to determine actual market demand.

The first P&K beauty clinic is expected to open in Ho Chi Minh City in October.

Apart from Vietnam, Pan Rajdhevee is looking for business opportunities in Burma and Laos. The business model in Burma, however, will be different from that in Vietnam.

"According to the mission set by our group chairman Dr Wichit Suwanprakorn, we will open our clinics in all Asian regions within the next five years,’’ Pattanil said.
