Caltex in community project

Chevron (Thailand) Ltd, the marketer of the Caltex brand, recently launched the Caltex Ruam Palang Sarngsun Phue Chumchon project to promote awareness among the general public of personal safety. The project, held in cooperation with the Yannawa district


 

"Through the Caltex Ruam Palang Sarngsun Phue Chumchon Project, Chevron hopes to complement the government’s initiatives to instil higher health and safety awareness. It is also consistent with Caltex’s commitment to contribute to the improvement of living standards of the communities where it operates," said Adrian Bendeck, country chairman and general manager for products at Chevron (Thailand).

Apart from talks and training on various safety topics, Chevron encourages its employees to volunteer their participation and contribute to the communities. The company is committed to supporting and developing local communities and continues to contribute to Thai society. Recently, it donated Bt6.1 million to support disaster relief and long-term reconstruction efforts in response to the widespread flooding in Thailand last year through the Chaipattana Foundation.

Safety awareness and precaution training is hosted with the help of Yannawa District Office and Thungmahamek Fire and Rescue Station. Apart from the safety training, games and lunch for all participants, Chevron contributed towards the renovation of the sports field and donated sports equipment. Chevron employees also volunteered their time to help paint the nursery centre, clean the sports field, donate books and educational toys and plant trees around the library area.
