BuilderSmart sees Bt3.38m Q1 profit

BuilderSmart turned a Bt3.38-million net profit in the first quarter, reversing its Bt4.3-million net loss in the same quarter last year, by focusing on three product lines for residential and commercial buildings.

The lines are alloy partitioning systems, gypsum wall and ceiling products, and Fletcher door and window systems.
Sanchai Nueangsit, managing director of BSM, a producer and distributor of indoor building and decorative products, said yesterday that the company had been adjusting to its new strategy, focusing on the three major business groups, showing that it was on the right track.
Sales increased 20 per cent from alloy partitioning systems, 25 per cent from gypsum wall and ceiling products and 15 per cent from door and window systems.
Sales are expected to continue rising 20 per cent to Bt460 million for the full year. The Shinta Mani hotel in Cambodia has just installed the Fletcher door and window system for its 29 rooms.
The company will open a Gyproc Centre in Bangkok for product distribution next month, as it is the sales agent for the Gyproc brand. It will also launch the sliding door system product for condominiums this quarter, Sanchai said.
