Four outstanding engineering students pursuing master's degrees at King Mongkut's Institute of Technology Ladkrabang (KMITL) have been awarded "LG Life's Good Scholarships" valued at Bt200,000 each.

The students were honoured after LG Electronics (Thailand) Co expanded its strategic “Empowering Tomorrow’s Leaders” partnership with KMITL’s faculty of engineering.
“With LG’s vision to contribute to a sustainable society through world-class technology and products, we are proud to be a part of developing the potential of Thai youth, who will drive the future of our country,” said Thunyachate Ekvetchavit, marketing director at LG Electronics (Thailand).
“We are confident that LG’s leadership in world-class innovation, combined with the educational leadership of KMITL, will foster the potential of Thai students to become leaders. The partnership will also contribute to the advancement of the industry, both nationally and internationally.”
The LG Life’s Good Scholarship programme provides four scholarships per year, which are awarded to four students to further their master’s-level research, without requiring mutual commitment. LG will provide these scholarships, valued at Bt200,000 each, for three consecutive years, for a total value of Bt2.4 million.
The awards ceremony was held in the refurbished, state-of-the-art Life’s Good Auditorium, an innovative teaching space equipped with the latest LG products valued at more than Bt3 million to create a stimulating learning environment for the university’s engineering students.
LG is also collaborating with the KMITL faculty of engineering on other initiatives, including the company’s first Smart TV application development competition. The competition allows students to develop applications that may become available in the app store of LG’s Smart TV range. LG experts will also lead technology workshops to develop students’ knowledge.
The strategic partnership between LG and KMITL’s engineering faculty was established last year.
