Oil Fund's levy is cut

The Energy Policy Administrative Committee, chaired by Energy Minister Arak Chonlatanon, today decided to cut the Oil Fund's levy on diesel and gasohol 91 and gasohol 95, in light of renewed spike of global oil prices.

The Oil Fund's diesel levy is cut by 40 satang to 60 satang per litre while that of gasohol 91 and gasohol 95 by 30 satang to Bt1 and Bt2.60 per litre, respectively.
Arak said that this decision is to ensure that global oil price hikes would not affect the transport sector as well as to promote gasohol consumption.
Following the decision, daily inflows to the Oil Fund would fall from Bt115 million to Bt90 million.
