MCOT's board of directors named Anek Permvongseni as new president of MCOT Plc, to be effective in October.
Currently, Anek is the secretary general of the Education Council at Education Ministry and chairman of Thailand Post.
He is one of six candidates interviewed this week by the selection committee. His term will last four years.
There are eight qualified candidates which include former MCOT president Tanawat Wansom and Suraphan Tanumathaya, executive vice president of Ascon Construction. Both were absent from the interview, said acting president Premkamon Tinnakorn Na Ayutthaya, who serves as a chairman of the selection committee.
