Sorajak officially named as THAI president

Thai Airways International's board of directors on Friday resolved to hire Sorajak Kasemsuvan as the airline's new president.

THAI Chairman Ampon Kittiampon refused to reveal the remuneration of the new president, saying "It's confidential".
Piyasvasti Amranand's last salary, before his employment contract was prematurely terminated in June, was Bt990,000.
Sorajak, the incumbent chairman of MCOT Plc - another listed state enterprise, was the sole candidate for the job at THAI.
