IEAT, Hi-Tech Kabin setting up industrial estate in Prachin Buri
The Industrial Estate Authority of Thailand (IEAT) and Hi-Tech Kabin Logistics Co have signed an agreement to establish jointly the nation's second high-technology estate to appeal to potential clients from Japan, China and South Korea.
The Kabin Hi-Tech Industrial Estate will be on 1,066 rai (171 hectares) in Prachin Buri province. The investment budget is Bt972 million.
The IEAT approved the feasibility of the project in terms of marketing, legal, financing, supporting infrastructure, and water supply. It will target industrial clients in such fields as electronics, electrical appliances, automotive components, and agricultural goods, while offering warehouses for rent.
This project, which is expected to be completed in two years, meets all environmental-preservation requirements, said IEAT president Vitoon Simachokedee.
Prachin Buri province has plans to develop "eco-industrial towns" within the next two years, he added.
The IEAT is confident that this project will serve as an effective bridge between the industrial estate and the surrounding communities, complementing each other through strict compliance to environmental preservation and corporate ethics, transparency and social responsibility, Vitoon said.
