2nd TATNews photo contest underway

The Tourism Authority of Thailand has launched the second TATNews Photo Contest, now being held through its media website, TATNews.org.
All photographers, tourists, travellers, media and anyone with a camera are cordially invited to participate. The theme of this new contest is “The magic and mystery of Amazing Thailand”.
The aim of the contest is for people to show the world what Amazing Thailand looks like to them – through the lens of their camera – and to share their incredible Thailand experiences with like-minded souls everywhere.
Plus, entrants get the chance to win cash awards totalling US$2,000 (Bt62,000) well as have their images of Amazing Thailand shared globally by TAT.
Contestants need simply to register an account on www.tatnews.org and submit entries according to the rules stated on the website. The submission period is now open and will close on August 2.
“So get your pictures organised and select your favourite shots. You won’t have to choose only one to submit however, since you can enter as many images as you like, along with a caption in English for each photograph,” TAT said in its release yesterday.
Three winners will be chosen. The first place winner will receive a cash prize of Bt30,000, the first runner-up will receive Bt20,000 while the second runner-up will receive Bt10,000. Plus there’s a photo contest certificate for each.
