More enterprises have shown strong interest in accessing information on Asean through the Commerce Ministry's "AEC Club" as they seek opportunities to penetrate the regional market.

Amparwon Pichalai, director-general of the International Trade Promotion Department, said small and medium-sized enterprises in particular had joined the department’s AEC Club website, which provides information about trading in Asean and facts that could support business growth.
So far, at least 249 companies have registered with the AEC Club. Most are highly interested in Myanmar, numbering 213, followed by Laos at 171, Vietnam 163, and Cambodia 150. The department also recently launched a Facebook page at www.facebook.com/ditpaecclub to provide information about the upcoming Asean Economic Community (AEC).
Amparwon said the department would adopt more new technology to help exporters penetrate interesting markets.
It will also conduct AEC Business Club Meetings to match Thai and Asean enterprises.

Handbook
Besides providing information about each country in Asean, it has provided reports, articles and a handbook on how to do business in these nations.
The website also provides an e-book for members downloading information and provides an opportunity for them to attend the department’s activities such as Thailand Week, Prime Minister’s Business Enterprises, and Best AEC Business Enterprises.
