PTT to expand retail oil business in Asean

PTT is preparing an investment of Bt3 billion to expand its retail oil business in Asean in the next three years.

Saran Rankasiri, chief operating officer for downstream petroleum business of the Thai oil and gas company, said that more fuel stations would be opened in neighbouring countries.
After two in Laos, one will be opened in Myanmar later this year. The first station in Laos showed monthly sale of about 700,000 litres.
He said that PTT would open 5-10 fuel stations in each country in Asean, but the number in the Philippines may rise to 8-10.  These fuel stations would be wholly owned by PTT in the initial stage, he said, and PTT would later welcome the investment by individual investors in the countries.
PTT has a strenght in oil transport and it has sufficient supply for the export.
