The Minor Food Group has launched a new distribution centre on Bang Na-Trat Road with enhanced logistical capability.

William Heinecke, chief executive officer and chairman of Minor International, and Paul Kenny, CEO of the Minor Food Group, joined Linfox founder Lindsay Fox and managing director James Allmand to launch the new distribution centre officially at Bang Na-Trat Kilometre 19.
The grand opening of the warehouse was the climax of more than a year of planning and construction to deliver a high-technology facility that would help secure the Minor Food Group’s future as a leading food operator that serves more than 1,000 restaurants across Thailand. The group owns and operates The Pizza Company, Swensen’s, Sizzler, Dairy Queen, Burger King and The Coffee Club.
The purpose and design of the new site are also to mitigate the risk of closing down the facility as a consequence of natural disasters. The calamitous 2011 floods put the group’s previous distribution centre at Bang Pa-in out of operation for a while.
The Minor Food Group supply-chain team has worked closely with Linfox, an Australian logistics and supply-chain company, to design a facility that delivers capacity for growth and incorporates German software multinational SAP’s extended warehouse management system. The system ensures efficient operations.
The site engages more than 200 staff with 47 pieces of material-handling equipment.
The enhanced logistic capability also includes energy saving, productivity improvement, better control and visibility, and better food-safety operation.
