SET launches nationwide roadshows

The Stock Exchange of Thailand launches the nationwide roadshows, aiming to attract more investors.
Kesara Manchusree, an executive vice president, said that the recent drop in the composite index provides a good opportunity for new investors to get acquainted with stock investment.
Provincial investors now have 166,000 stock trading accounts, or 17 per cent of total 974,851 accounts.
The first Money Expo will be hosted in Pattaya during February 7-9. More will be held in Songkhla, Udon Thani, Chiang Rai, Nakhon Ratchasima and Chiang Mai. These cities are expected to benefit from the urbanisation and the Asean Economic Community.
