Tadashi Maeda, senior managing director of JBIC, and his delegation yesterday met with Air Chief Marshal Prajin Juntong, a deputy chief of the ruling National Council for Peace and Order and Air Force chief, to discuss economic issues.
Maeda said the public and private sectors of both countries had a long and good relationship and that Japan had been the No 1 long-term investor in Thailand.
Prajin briefed the JBIC on the country’s blueprint for aviation, water and land infrastructure.
The plans have already been approved and potential sources of funds are being explored.
Thailand is eager to exchange information with the JBIC regarding these projects, he said.
