The company started ECS Value Myanmar Services in April and expects the business to generate up to Bt600 million in revenue next year.
It plans to establish a Cambodian business in 2015.
Narong Intanate, executive chairman of The Value Systems, said the Myanmar business had seven staff and aimed to provide value-added service with focus on delivering enterprise solutions.
“The CLMV [Cambodia, Laos, Myanmar and Vietnam] countries are emerging markets and we have a crucial opportunity to expand our business base,” he said.
He added: “It is a good opportunity to expand our business in Myanmar via business partners. We have 40 active business partners from a total of around 150 business partners.”
Narong said that the company transferred its knowledge to local partners so they could better support the business and create added value for customers.
“We are the first company to provide enterprise solutions in the Myanmar market,” he said.
Narong said that by the end of the year it was expected the Myanmar business would reach revenue of around Bt100 million – a figure tipped to climb to between Bt300 and Bt600 million in 2015.
He said that Myanmar was an emerging, open market and was developing its information technology infrastructure to support the country’s network infrastructure.
He said that the company would set up the Cambodian business in the first quarter next year and distribute its products via a local business partner.
It planned to establish a business in Vietnam in the coming years.
Narong expects the CLMV market to generate around 50 per cent of the company’s total revenue within five years.
The company has forecast total revenue of Bt19 billion this year.
