Private sector's anti-graft mission shows progress

Thailand's private-sector-initiated Collective Action Coalition against Corruption (CAC) has certified 13 more companies for their compliance to anti-graft standards.

In a statement, CAC announced that from 449 members,  the number of certified members has risen to 109.
Thai Institute of Directors (IOD) President Bandid Nijathaworn reiterated the aim to increase the number of members from 406 companies at the end of 2014 to 600 this year. At the end of 2014, the number of certified members stood at 78.
"CAC is prepared to strengthen the certification process, to meet international standards. Importantly, our certified companies are not just required to meet cerfitification criteria. They are expected to exercise the standards systematically and continuously," Bandid said.
