More 3G base and cell stations will be introduced, to boost the number to 29,000 this year. The AIS Super Wifi spots would also be increased by 12,000 to 48,000 at the end of this year, said Nattiya Poapongsakorn, head of Investor Relations.
She said so far this year, Bt7.2 billion has been invested.
She expects the company's service-oriented revenue to grow 3-4 per cent this year. More will come from data services, as the revenue on voice services is expected to further decline. The company also reported a 10 per cent growth rate in the sale of its own mobile phone brand, AIS Super Combo.
"We have maintained the vision to turn the company from a service provider to a digital life service provider," she said.
