Tevin officially named new PTT chief

PTT board of directors today approved the appointment of Tevin Vongvanich as the company's chief executive officer.

Piyasvasti Amranand, chairman of Thailand's largest listed company, said that Tevin is qualified for the job, having worked for the group for over 20 years. 
Tevin, now president of PTT Exploration and Production, will succeed Pailin Chuchottaworn whose term will end on September 9. He will start working in his new capacity on September 10. 
Nominating Tevin for the job is Rungson Sriworasat. permanent secretary for finance.
According to Piyasvasti, top on Tevin's agenda is to revitalise PTT's image following attacks by some groups which have derailed its operations. Tevin would also complete the 20-year strategy to ensure energy security.
