The company’s new 10,000-square metre distribution centre at TPARK Wang Noi 2 will back Yum! Thailand’s plan to open 800 stores by 2020. The key highlight is cold storage, which operates at 4 to -22 degrees Celsius, so frozen foods remain fresh and ready for distribution to the 500 KFC outlets nationwide.
Waewkanee Assoratgoon, KFC’s country general manager, said, “KFC Thailand has attached utmost significance to consumers’ safety and high quality food. It has always been deliberate in every cooking process, ranging from the selection and storage of high quality food ingredients for fresh and nutritious dishes.
“This is why we have placed our trust in Linfox M Logistics to manage KFC’s product storage and distribution system as well as to support KFC’s business expansion plan to open 800 stores by 2020,” he said.
Sabina Rizvi, general manager of Pizza Hut Thailand, said: “We are confident that Linfox’s professional logistics management will support the operation of Yum! Thailand. We are also confident that TPARK team’s experiences in developing this new distribution centre will definitely meet Yum!’s high standards and requirements.”
David Ames, managing director of Linfox M Logistics (Thailand) Ltd, a subsidiary of Australia’s leading logistics solution provider, said: “Linfox is pleased to have an opportunity to work with Yum! Thailand and to play a part in delivering fresh and high-quality food to Yum!’s customers.
“TPARK ticked both boxes for us. It is most suitable for product distribution thanks to its location in the vicinity of major motorways and the outer ring road, which allows for quick, efficient, and timely shipments to Bangkok, nearby provinces, and the North and Northeas, while also giving us effective control over logistical costs. Furthermore, this built-to-suit facility meets Yum! Thailand’s exacting standards with an ambient-temperature storage zone under the same roof to ensure convenient management.
All these positives have given us confidence of high-quality, hygienic, fresh and frozen food products being delivered to KFC and Pizza Hut branches across Thailand.” Patan Somburanasin, managing director of TICON Logistics Park Co, a leading developer of warehouses, said: “We are honoured to have won the trust of Linfox and Yum! in the development of this built-to-suit warehouse and various related facilities to support the growth of both companies. This success underlines our proficiency in the development of warehouses that fit our customers’ specific needs as well as the strategic vision behind our choice of locations.”
