BEC-Tero plans more concerts for niche markets

BEC-Tero Entertainment will next year focus more on bringing in international concerts and producing local music shows to meet niche demand, particularly from the young generation.

"We would like to give our customers a variety of choices. So we’ll prepare at least 33 to 34 concerts and family shows for next year," Neil Thompson, deputy managing director, said yesterday.

BEC-Tero Entertainment plans to hold about two to three concerts and events per month, which will grow the company’s business by 10 per cent.

Kicking off its line-up for next year will be the Queen of Pop Madonna herself, coming to Bangkok for the first time for two shows, followed by Santana, 5 Seconds of Summer, and Tom Jones.

The company also offer entertainment services, including international and Thai concerts, events, world-class family shows and Broadway shows.

It plans to expand its musical content business by organising international concerts outside the country.

"We plan to create more musical partnerships in order to provide even better shows and to reach niche market consumers.

"This year we have already started with Hostess and Sound Box, which were both successful events.

"I think audiences for these types of events are growing and no one else seems to be brave enough to invest in these niche markets," he said.

"I do believe that the market next year will continue to grow. Compared to other countries in the region, the company has witnessed a rise of international events, shows and concerts that are taking place in the Kingdom," he said.

Besides music-oriented events, the company also continues to provide great shows for children such as the annual Disney on Ice, Bubble Legendary and Blue Man Group, plus a Broadway show, Dream Work’s Shrek the Musical.

TeamLab the exhibition will be held next year also.

"It’s an amazing event for the whole family."
