Yunnan Express Foreign trade enterprises in Yunnan will soon enjoy bonded services, the first of their kind in the Chinese province, following the upcoming launch of the Kunming High-tech District Bonded Logistics Centre.
The centre is part of the China-Asean Bonded Trade Industrial Park. Integrating basic functions such as import, export, carry-over and transit trade, it not only meets emerging trade warehousing and logistics needs such as bonded commodity display and cross-border e-commerce, but also provides bonded warehousing service for fruits, vegetables, wood and other products from Southeast and South Asia.
The centre represents a step forward for Yunnan’s integration into China’s Belt and Road Initiative.
Construction of the centre started in July 2012 and has now concluded. It will open soon.

Internal Trade Dept to seek cut in retail, service prices
Amid dropping oil and rubber prices, the Internal Trade Department will next week call a meeting with rubber-tyre producers and transportation-service providers to discuss lowering retail prices and service charges soon, to help reduce the cost of living, Wiboonlasana Ruamraksa, director-general to the department, said.
The price for some products and services should be reduced to reflect the much lower cost of fuel and certain raw materials, Wiboonlasana said. The price of diesel oil has fallen from Bt29.99 per litre to Bt20.59 this year, reducing transportation costs by 12.47 per cent, she said.
The cost of 274 staples, including fertiliser, has dropped by between 2 and 39 per cent this year on lower oil prices.
