SCG Muangthong United to be powered by Herbalife nutrition

GLOBAL NUTRITION firm, Herbalife, announced on Friday that it is the official nutrition sponsor of SCG Muangthong United Football Club from December 1, 2015 until the end of this year.

Under its year-long agreement, Herbalife will provide funding, nutritional products and tailormade nutrition training programmes for both players and coaches to help them achieve higher performance at local and international matches. The company said this sponsorship underscores its commitment to pursue excellence in sports as well as to inspire people to live a healthy, active life through good nutrition.
The club’s president Pongsakdi Polanant said, “We are pleased with our 
 partnership with an international brand that is already so well connected with football. Through its sponsorship of football athletes and teams, we feel that Herbalife has a deep understanding of our players’ nutritional need. We are looking forward to working with Herbalife and learning from their expertise and knowledge in sports nutrition.”
Herbalife Thailand’s general manager Suphot Rittipichaiwat said, “It is a great honour for us to become the official nutrition sponsor of a much-admired football club like Muangthong United Football Club. 
In Herbalife, we believe nutrition in sports is an essential ingredient to help athletes reach their highest performance level as possible. 
We look forward to contributing our nutrition expertise and products to help athletes create better results and success. In addition, through the nutrition sponsorship programme, we also hope to promote good nutrition habits and importance of living a healthy, active life among all Thais.”
Herbalife will conduct a series of sports nutrition training sessions for all athletes from the club during training period and competition. The company will also monitor the results with a view to helping SCG Muangthong United Football Club ensure that its athletes play at their peak with increased energy and improved endurance in the coming seasons.
This agreement is part of Herbalife’s broader sports sponsorship programme that provides nutrition support to over 190 athletes and teams around the globe, including international football star Cristiano Ronaldo, the LA Galaxy in the United States, national athletes in Vietnam, badminton champion Saina Nehwal and five-time world boxing champion MC Mary Kom from India.
