The downgrade came after the Securities and Exchange Commission’s disqualification of eight NMG directors.
The lower rating was due to a top-management vacuum, since some of the disqualified directors are also CEOs of NMG and its subsidiaries, according to the rating agency.
Towards the end of this year, NMG’s notes worth a combined Bt200 million are due to be paid, with about Bt100 million due tomorrow.
