KITO SANDAL FIRM
Kito (Thailand) Co is budgeting Bt50 million for rebranding, expecting to reach new markets among younger people and 15-per-cent growth.
Pisal Kitkamjai, assistant marketing manager, said the overall market for sandals in Thailand had slowed over the past three years because of the sluggish domestic economy. However, the market looks like recovering this year.
The overall sandal market in Thailand was valued at about Bt6 billion in 2015 and grew by about 5 per cent last year.
With the market rebound, Kito foresees that the rebranding strategy for its product will allow the company to reach younger consumers and also increase its sales.
“Our upcoming product is well designed to fit in all the young and cool lifestyles of new generations, together with perfect functionality for everyday use,” Pisal said.
