Prime Minister General Prayut Chan-o-cha, supported by a Thai delegation, will pay a formal visit to Bahrain from April 24 to 26 to promote economic and trade relations between the countries, Commerce Minister Apiradi Tantraporn said on Tuesday.

The Thai side will also propose that Bahrain consider importing more agricultural products and halal food from the Kingdom, said Apiradi, who will accompany the premier during the visit.

The average annual value of trade between Thailand and Bahrain during the past five years was US$447.78 million (Bt15.48 billion).
