Tourists’ spending during Songkran 14% higher than last year

Overall spending by Thai and foreign travellers during the Songkran holiday period from April 11 to 17 topped an estimated Bt45 billion, 14.4 per cent higher than in last year’s festive season, Tourism and Sports Minister Kobkarn Wattanavrangkul said on Tues
Of total, Bt36.9 billion were spent by foreign tourists, up 16.4 per cent year on year, while Thai tourists spent the rest Bt8.490 billion, up 6.45 per cent.
