Lenovo appoints Thaneth as general manager, Indochina

Lenovo, the world’s leading PC manufacturer, on Tuesday announced the appointment of industry veteran Thaneth Angkasirisan as general manager, Indochina, to head up the company’s day-to-day operations in Thailand, Vietnam, Cambodia, Laos and Myanmar.

Based in Bangkok, Thaneth will be responsible for managing and growing Lenovo’s PC and smart devices business across both the consumer and commercial segments in one of the world’s most economically dynamic regions.
His role will also include strengthening the company’s relationships with its key enterprise and SME clients, as well as major channel partners.
Thaneth brings to the role 25 years of experience in sales, marketing and strategic planning in corporate, public sector and consumer IT, including over seven years in senior management, the company said.
He has a successful track record of leading businesses and meeting aggressive revenue targets for major multinational companies based in Thailand.
A graduate of Assumption University in Thailand, Thaneth holds a master’s degree in finance, and a bachelor’s in marketing.
He replaces Jeerawut Wongpimonporn, who leaves Lenovo after 10 years of service to pursue new opportunities.
