Tech keeps eye on traffic

Axis Communications, a global network video solutions company, is promoting its systems in Thailand. The company has worked with public safety departments in major cities around the world to create a safer environment for the public, according to Magnus Zederfledt, the company’s regional director for South Asia and Pacific.
He said Axis’s systems could gather data in real time – including vehicle counts, traffic flow, roadwork status, and unusual occurrences on the roads – and create reports automatically. This would help reduce traffic congestion, increase safety for daily commuters, and allow police and other emergency services personnel to assess the situation and intervene where needed.
