Also, loans from existing shareholders worth Bt6.39 billion will be transferred to U City.
The company, through its subsidiary, now fully owns Vienna International Hotel Management, which owns 21 hotels in Europe, as well as shares in 10 hotels that had been owned by Warimpex.
RAIL PROJECT DRAWS 12
Twelve private firms have submitted bidding documents for the Nakhon Pathom-Hua Hin double-track railway project, while the deadline for qualified bidders for the Hua Hin-Prachuap Khiri Khan double-track railway project has been postponed to July 24.
State Railway of Thailand (SRT) yesterday opened the bidding for private firms to make their specifications and technical proposals for two contracts for the two phases of the Bt16.07-billion 196-kilometre Nakhon Pathom-Hua Hin double-track railway project.
Of the two contracts, the first is for the Bt8.39-billion, 93-kilometre Nakhon Pathom-Nongplalai section. This attracted 12 bidders out of the 34 that had picked up the bidding documents. The second contract, for the Bt7.68-billion 76-kilometre Nongplalai-Hua Hin project, drew 11 bidders out of 35 purchasers of the bidding documents.
Late last year, when the first bids took place, six bidders submitted bidding documents and these six bidders also joined yesterday bids for both contracts. They are Ch. Karnchang, Italian-Thai Development, Sino-Thai Engineering and Construction, Unique Engineering and Construction, A S Associate Engineering 1964 and CTBB Joint Venture.
The next step will involve SRT's inspection of the bidders specifications and techniques before advising which of them can proceed to submit the final pricing terms on July 31.
The price proposal will be set by electronic means on August 10.
