Phuket’s newest Ramada to feature Peranakan design

Wyndham Hotel Group continues expanding its Ramada brand in Thailand with the Ramada Plaza Chaofah Phuket, franchised with Southern Star Hotel, an affiliate of the CAS Group.

The 270-room upscale hotel is slated for completion next year and will be managed by Bangkok-based Kosmopolitan Hospitality.
Ramada Plaza Chaofah will be part of the larger Muang Chaofah development, an “urban entertainment centre” with movie theatres, a conference centre and retail outlets.
The location is close to Peranakan district, putting both Old Phuket Town and the Phuket Mining Museum within walking distance.
Wyndham said guests would find a blend of modernity and tradition, with contemporary furnishings decorated with Peranakan porcelain and batik prints.
The food-and-beverage concept extends to the Thai-Nyonya cuisine for which Peranakan is known, offered at an all-day-dining outlet and rooftop restaurant.
The grand ballroom will be able to accommodate up to 700 guests and a range of fitness facilities will also be available.
